Eastwood Hills Elementary

 

Welcome to Eastwood Hills Elementary

Eastwood Hills Elementary opened in January of 1953 with 370 students who had been transferred from Chapel Elementary due to tremendous growth, during a time of heavy construction and the addition of numerous school in the Raytown School District. At points in the school's history, it has housed over 500 students grades 1-5, and currently houses grades K-5. Alumni Hall of Fame member Mary Phyll Dwight, an Olympian, is an Eastwood Hills graduate. The school's mascot is the Junior Jays, and the school is known for excellent family outreach and connecting to its surrounding community.

Raytown Schools prepares for the Great American Solar Eclipse
08/14/2017
On Monday, August 21, Raytown will be just outside of the path of totality of the Great American Solar Eclipse. While Raytown is just outside of the path of totality, students and staff will witness a partial solar eclipse with a magnitude of 0.999 or 99.96% of totality. The eclipse will begin at 11:42 a.m. reach its peak at 1:09 p.m. and partial totality will last for only 27 seconds.

Six Schools Receive Recognition for Schoolwide Positive Behavior Support Implementation

Six Raytown C-2 School District schools were honored for their successful adoption and implementation of Schoolwide Positive Behavior Support (SW-PBS) during the annual Schoolwide Positive Behavior Support Summer Training Institute held at the Tan-Tar-A Resort in Osage Beach, Missouri on Wednesday, June 14.
